Palmetto Battery Pros was started by father and son, Doug Chappell and Adam Chappell respectively, in December 2010. They started with reconditioning used batteries from their home garage and have grown the business to where they can offer batteries for any application (vehicles/trucks, boats, campers, RV’s, golf carts, wheelchairs, forklifts, floor sweepers & scrubbers, etc.) including hybrid vehicle battery repair.
Palmetto Battery Pros still offers reconditioned batteries with a 6 month warranty and carries a variety of name brand lead-acid and lithium batteries from EastPenn DEKA, ECO, EPOCH, Lithium Rhino, Navitas, Nivel, Bolt and Trojan.

Why should I switch to Lithium?
An electric vehicle, or EV, is a type of vehicle that is powered by an electric motor using electricity stored in rechargeable batteries. EVs come in various forms, including all-electric vehicles (powered solely by batteries) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs, which use both batteries and a conventional internal combustion engine).
Do these batteries require a special charger?
Electric vehicles use one or more electric motors for propulsion. These motors are powered by electricity stored in rechargeable batteries. When the vehicle is in motion, the electric motor(s) convert electrical energy from the batteries into mechanical energy to drive the wheels.
What is the warranty on a new installation?
For installation/labor there is NO warranty. However, the battery does provide a warranty. Check with your specific battery manufacturer for warranty information.
Do you offer general golf cart maintenance?
Yes, we offer a 23 point checklist which covers all vital components that make your cart ride like it brand new again.
Do you offer local delivery in Charleston?
es. We offer golf cart pick up and delivery in the Charleston area for $95.00. Outside the Charleston metro area is $120.00. We do NOT deliver out of state.
What are the recommended Lithium golf cart brands?
It depends on the type of cart you have (Club Car, RXV, Bintelli, etc.) along with tire size, gear ratio, controller motor setup, age of the motor. Talk to our specialists for specific requirements.
Do you install aftermarket accessories and upgrades?
Yes, we offer soundbars, USB power ports, light kits (blinders, headlights and brakelights), Navatis and Alltrax DC to AC upgrade.
